Island Dermatology, P.C., incorporates the services of four highly skilled Dermatology specialists; Dr. Ronald Falcon, Dr. Charisse Dolitsky, Dr. Barry Kuttner and Dr. Barry A. Solomon. They have been in practice since 1989 and are Fellows of the American Academy of Dermatology. The Doctors are also Fellows of the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery and Fellows of the Society for Investigative Dermatology. In addition to the above, Dr. Kuttner has special certification in Dermatopathology by the American Board of Pathology.
DR. RONALD FALCON, M.D., is a native of Long Beach. He graduated Magna Cum Laude from Lehigh University and attended Downstate Medical Center where he did research in Acne and Antibiotic Therapy.
He completed a Medical Internship at Montefiore Medical Center followed by a Dermatology residency at SUNY Downstate. During this time he continued his research in acne, psoriasis and tumors of the skin.
He currently holds the position of Clinical Assistant Professor of Dermatology at SUNY Downstate and is on the Staff at Long Beach Hospital and South Nassau Communities Hospital.
DR. CHARISSE DOLITSKY, M.D., is a native of Brooklyn and received her Degree in Medicine from SUNY College of Medicine. She Completed a year's internship in Internal Medicine at New York University Hospital Medical Center, Bellevue Hospital. She then went on to complete a residency in Dermatology at SUNY Health Sciences Center of Brooklyn where she did extensive research in Acne and Laser Surgery.
She currently holds the position of Clinical Assistant Professor of Dermatology at SUNY Downstate and is on staff at Long Beach Hospital and South Nassau Communities Hospital.
DR. BARRY KUTTNER, M.D., Ph.D., graduated Magna Cum Laude from NYU and holds both an M.D. and Ph.D. from SUNY Downstate. Dr. Kuttner completed an internship in Internal Medicine at Parkland Memorial Hospital in Dallas and a residency at Duke University Medical Center. Subsequently, he returned to NYU to complete fellowhips in Dermatopathology at both NY Hospital-Cornell Medical Center and NYU Medical Center. Dr. Kuttner is on staff at Nassau County Medical Center, Long Beach Hospital and South Nassau Communities Hospital.
DR. BARRY A. SOLOMON, M.D., J.D. is a native of the Brooklyn area. He received graduated Summa Cum Laude from Temple University School of Law, receiving the Order of the Coif Honor. Thereafter, he received his Medical Doctorate degree from SUNY Health Sciences Center in Brooklyn, where he was a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. Dr. Solomon served his Medicine internship at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania and his Dermatology training at SUNY Downstate. He is involved in extensive clinical and laboratory research in the fields of skin cancer, mycology, biology, atopic dermatitis and Health Care Reform.
Dr. Solomon currently holds the position of Chief Clinical Assistant Instructor in the Department of Dermatology at SUNY Health Sciences Center and Kings County Hospital Center.
