Jose A. Yaryura-Tobias, M.D.
Medical Director, Fellow of the Academy of Psychosomatic Medicine
Dr. Yaryura-Tobias is a biological psychiatrist and an internist with over 30 years experience in addition to being a writer and a poet. He has pioneered research in the dopamine theory of schizophrenia, and the serotonin theory of obsessive compulsive disorder. He is the co-author of five books with Dr. Neziroglu and has over 270 presentations and publications to his credit.
Fugen A. Neziroglu, Ph.D. ABBP, ABPP
Dr. Neziroglu is a board certified behavior and cognitive therapist who has been involved in the research and treatment of anxiety, depression, and aggression for over eighteen years. She is a scientist and a practitioner who has presented and published over 85 papers in scientific journals. She is co-author of five books with Dr. Yaryura-Tobias. At IBBTR, , Dr. Neziroglu provides direct services, supervises all psychology interns, sponsors many doctoral dissertations, and conducts research.
Jonathan Hoffman, Ph.D.
Associate Clinical Director
Dr. Hoffman's focus is on the application of behavioral and cognitive techniques to a variety of problems including anxiety disorders, depression, stress, and substance abuse. He is the author of a workbook and pamphlet about OCD and addiction. Dr. Hoffman also writes articles and participates in the development of research projects as a member of the IBBTR multidisciplinary team.
Our staff consists of psychologists, psychiatrists, assistant psychologists, a biofeedback technician, an EKG/EEG technologist, social workers, and psychology interns.
